How to identify SLS in the ingredients?

Look for the name Sodium Lauryl Sulfate. Sodium Laureth Sulfate is a different detergent, abbreviated as SLES. Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate is also a distinct substance and does not indicate the presence of SLS. You can find the full INCI list on the product page and packaging.

Does SLS-free toothpaste foam?

It may foam thanks to other surfactants. The intensity depends on the entire formulation. Regardless of the amount of foam, brush all surfaces of your teeth thoroughly.

Does SLS-free toothpaste help with canker sores?

For some people with recurrent canker sores, it may be better tolerated. However, it does not guarantee that the sores will clear up. Recurrent or non-healing ulcers require a dental evaluation.

Is SLS-free toothpaste also fluoride-free?

It doesn't have to be. SLS is a detergent, while fluoride compounds serve a different function. Check both characteristics separately in the description and ingredients of the chosen product.
