Na ile starcza tubka pasty i jaki rytm dostaw wybrać? Prosty rachunek przed subskrypcją

How long does a tube of toothpaste last and what delivery frequency should I choose? A simple calculation before subscribing.

Toothpaste always runs out at the least convenient moment: on a Sunday evening or the day before a trip. You can calculate this in advance, and more accurately than you might think. Below is a simple calculation: how much toothpaste you use, how long the tubes from our selection last, and how to translate this into a delivery schedule if you are thinking about a subscription.

How much toothpaste do you use per brushing?

Dentists recommend a pea-sized portion for adults, which is about 0.25 g. Most people, however, apply a "full strip" along the length of the toothbrush, which is about 1 g. That is a fourfold difference and the main reason why the same tube lasts one person a month and another three.

More toothpaste doesn't mean better. Active ingredients (hydroxyapatite, fluoride, potassium nitrate) work through contact with the enamel, not through the amount of foam. A pea-sized amount is enough; if you reduce the portion, the tube will last longer, and your teeth won't notice the difference.

How long does a tube last: estimates for our selection

The numbers below are an approximation for one person brushing twice a day with a "normal" portion (about 1 g). For a pea-sized amount, multiply by two or three; for two people, divide by two.

  • 75 ml (LEBON, Laro): about 4–6 weeks. These pastes are thick, so the portion is sometimes smaller.
  • 80 ml (PrevDent nHAp, OrthoCare): about 6 weeks; OrthoCare lasts about 5 weeks if brushing three times a day.
  • 96–113 g (BOKA, Ollie): about 6–8 weeks.
  • 100 g (ANNAGIO): about 6–8 weeks with 2–3 brushings a day.
  • 125 ml (LyDenti): about 8–10 weeks.
  • 149 g (Davids): about 10 weeks.
  • Mouthwash 300 ml (PrevDent, OrthoCare): 25 ml per rinse, which means 12 rinses per bottle. If you rinse once a day, that's about two weeks; twice a day, it's less than a week. We write about when mouthwash actually makes sense separately.

How to translate this into a delivery schedule?

There are three schedules in the Dentistique subscription: every 2, 4, and 8 weeks. The discount is the same for everyone, −10% on every delivery, plus free courier delivery regardless of the schedule. The rhythm should be based on consumption, not the discount. Tips:

  • One person, one toothpaste: every 8 weeks for 96–149 g tubes; every 4 weeks for 75–80 ml if you apply a full strip, or every 8 weeks if using a pea-sized amount.
  • A couple or family using one toothpaste: every 4 weeks for large tubes, every 2 weeks for 75 ml tubes. Alternative: two tubes in one delivery every 8 weeks.
  • Mouthwash: every 2 weeks for daily rinsing; a 2 × 300 ml set every 4 weeks is more convenient and cheaper than a single bottle.
  • Not sure: set it to every 4 weeks. You can change the rhythm in your account with one click after the first delivery, once you see how much is left in the tube.

How it works in practice

On the product page, select the subscription and the frequency. The first package ships like a regular order, within 24 hours. A few days before each subsequent delivery, you will receive an email with the date and amount; if you still have toothpaste, you can postpone or skip the delivery. Changing the rhythm, pausing, and cancelling can be done in your customer account, with no notice period. Payment is via card, Shop Pay, Apple Pay, or Google Pay; BLIK and payment on delivery do not support recurring orders. Full terms: subscription terms.

For whom does a subscription make sense and for whom not

It makes sense if you have a toothpaste you want to stick with and regular consumption: one person with a favorite flavor, a family using BOKA Kids, someone with braces using OrthoCare. It does not make sense if you are still looking for your ideal toothpaste; in that case, try our quiz or two or three sample tubes first, and subscribe when you know you are coming back for more. A ten percent discount is not a reason to order something that will just sit in the cupboard.

Frequently asked questions

Does a tube have an expiration date and will the stock go to waste?

Toothpastes usually have a shelf life of 2–3 years from production (date on the tube or box). One extra tube in the cupboard is no problem; five is a sign to extend the delivery interval.

Can I skip one delivery?

Yes. In your customer account, under the Subscriptions section, you can skip the upcoming delivery, change the frequency, pause, or cancel the subscription. Do this before the date mentioned in the delivery notification email.

When do we charge for the order?

Automatically with every subsequent delivery, from the card used for the first order. A few days before, you will receive an email with the date and amount, so you have time to react.
